Enjoy a mild day, Houston, before the heat returns

Mild temperatures today will likely give way to a gradual warm up as humidity increases and the mercury climbs by the weekend and early next in the Houston region. No rain is likely for at least the next several days, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasters said muggy heat increases during the next few days as moist air from the Gulf of Mexico flows onshore.
